Varengeville-sur-Mer appears in the book, The Most Beautiful Villages of Normandy by Hugh Palmer. Les Bruyères lies in this oasis of tranquility, within easy walking distance of all the village shops and the coast of Normandy - that coast where you'll never forget the cliffs and the sunsets.
Les Bruyères is relaxing and well equipped, with an enclosed garden. The house has a large, through-dining/sitting room. In addition to the upstairs bedrooms, there is a comfortable single bed in an alcove downstairs, next to the newly refurbished shower room, useful perhaps for an elderly or disabled person. The alcove has a door so it can be transformed into a separate room.
In the kitchen there's a halogen hob, cooker, mini-oven and microwave. Equipment also includes a fridge with freezer compartment, a dishwasher, cafetières, wine rack plus plenty of pans, utensils, glasses, crockery and cutlery. Behind the kitchen, there's a storage room with a fridge freezer and washer dryer to augment the equipment in the kitchen.
From the back of the kitchen the staircase ascends to a bathroom, separate WC and three bedrooms. The bathroom has a bath, with hand shower, a further shower cubicle and a wash hand basin.
The master bedroom has a bed more than 5ft wide; the two twins have full sized single beds.
The house is centrally heated, with extra radiators for chilly summer evenings, and all your energy, cleaning and laundry costs are included in the rental price.
You can receive English television (Freesat) only when the leaves have fallen from the trees, so bring your own DVDs to watch or choose from our selection during the summer months.
